2011.9: Mass Effect 2

Time took to complete: 38h.54m

So overall the game itself was pretty sweet. More varied missions would have been nice in all honesty. Instead of corridor shooter that 98% of the missions were. Like even side missions that had me collecting packages (actually only one side mission was like that) was nice just for the simple fact that it was different.
Kasumi DLC mission was my fav I think as far as structure went. Being an undercover agent in a posh party felt awesome.

My other comment is one I'm not sure will work well but I'm leaning on wanting regardless is that: Crew members should move. I know 99% of the member's positions makes sense for them to stay there but I connected to the game and characters so well that them 'having a life' in the ship would have been 100times awesome-er. Even if the AI isn't dynamically programmed to move but maybe after a mission they are in a different place. Like I don't know, Miranda is having lunch and you talk to her and join her for lunch or whatever. Maybe Joker could be having a drink at the bar and you can talk about "Oh you trust the A.I. now with the ship?" and etc...I hope you see what I mean.
The reason I'm not sure I want it is that it might be annoying for them to keep changing places but since each floor has a list of crews before you travel there, it won't be a huge deal.

It could also throw in a game mechanic where you can let them relax and/or boss them to get back to work. If you let them relax too much, losing abilities or abilities not progressing too fast and if you boss them too much they form negative opinion of you etc.
I dunno, sounds like it might have been fun as I really enjoyed the ship aspect but felt there could be more to it, and that's one idea I had.

Story and immersion is pretty much unmatched, near the end I was getting goosebumps and getting pumped on doing the missions etc. So pretty damn exciting.
I don't see myself playing again anytime soon though, with the story already known I'm not sure how fun it'll be. I'm happy with most of my decisions so I'm more than happy to use this save for ME3.

One thing I REALLY wish from ME3 though is a technically more polished game. Sometimes cut-scene immersion got ruined by characters flickering and voices being cut or being out of synch. Also the ship floor change loading times I already complained about before and I really really hope whatever hub we have in ME3 is a more faster one to navigate.

As you can see I'm already thinking about ME3 because I can't wait for the Arrival DLC or ME3.

Overall, a 9/10.
