What a wonderful surprise this turned out to be. Not that I was
expecting a bad game, but definitely didn't expect it to be this fun and
addictive.
It's pretty much similar to Just Cause 2 for me, as in, the gameplay is
so damn fun and addictive that nothing else matters. But nothing outside
the gameplay is good enough to push it to an amazing game. Story
especially became a big snore not long after it started, but at least
the cut-scenes have nice graphics style so it's not too bad to sit
through.
Speaking of style, just have to mention this game has plenty of it and
pulls it off great. Music especially is super awesome, along with nice
film filters when you are doing film based challenges and just the
overall art style is very cool.
And kudos to Reflections for finding their own voice finally, as this is
the first Driver game in years that is trying (and succeeding) to be a
great Driver game and not trying to emulate GTA.
8/10.
