2011.26: Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Completed on: Give Me A Challenge [Normal] - Time took: no idea...8-9hrs maybe? (total guess)

It was a very up and down kind of experience and unfortunately it never succeeded in fully pulling me into it's world. Weather it be weak AI or loading through almost every door in the HUB, or dialogue turning stupid ways depending on what you chose (one second someone can be hostile, then you chose the right option the next choice, and suddenly they are convinced), overall it wasn't tight and polished enough to be a believable universe, IMO.

This lead to the choices (including the one at the end) not mattering really. I remember in ME2 I was going "oh shit oh shit oh shit" while making choices, here I didn't really care that much.
There are times it succeeds though and I could feel "wow I'm really into this" and cared about my choices, but that was like 30% of the game.

Stealth is also way too easy and for a game about choices, it seems they only want you to make one choice, and that is to stealth (further backed up by more XP for stealth actions) so it felt kind of constricted that way in the gameplay department - And this is coming from someone who wanted to play Stealth anyway.

I could also touch on the orange tint and how nice it was when at the last level they used proper lighting but that's not a big deal.

Outside those critical downfalls (IMO), I had no other complaints and everything else was great. So all in all, it wraps itself up in a nice but not great,

7/10.
