2011.19: LA Noire

Time took to complete: no idea I'm afraid

It completely picks up couple of cases after the Homicide desk and turns into a fantastic game. The story is well done, gameplay at first will feel challenging and at times frustrating due to you not being very good but once you get into the swing of being a detective and getting things right, there is not much else more satisfying.

I also have to say that I highly recommend playing with the Clue Hints OFF as with it ON, I found myself just running around the place until the controller vibrates, while with it off, I was carefully walking around scanning the scene and it felt fantastic. I switched to that very early on for that reason. It also works great because the music cue will stop to let you know you've found everything, so you can take your time and not worry about missing a clue (for ultimate challenge, you can turn the music cue off as well so you gotta know yourself when you have all the clues).

A great game that is easily a 10/10 IF not for the breaking of pace around Homicide desk and for me, a few immersion breaking things which I won't go into again (we had a discussion about it in the LA Noire thread).

A fantastic fresh experience that works superbly and is exciting in a way unlike any other game;
9/10.
